DESCRIPTION:The Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) invites communi
 ty members to experience Dementia Live®\, a powerful\, interactive progra
 m designed to immerse participants in what life might be like living with 
 cognitive impairment and sensory changes.\n\nThe event will take place on 
 Friday\, November 14\, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church
 \, 309 Winnebago Street\, Decorah\, Iowa.\n\nThrough the use of specialize
 d gear that simulates dementia-related changes in vision\, hearing\, and t
 ouch\, participants gain a first-hand understanding of the challenges face
 d by those living with dementia. The experience helps build empathy and st
 rengthens care partners’ ability to improve communication\, relationship
 s\, and care practices.\n\nBridget White from the Winn Med Dementia Care P
 rogram will also provide additional education and insights on dementia car
 e.\n\nThis free event is open to the public\, and refreshments will be ser
