SUMMARY:Healthy Steps for Older Adults - West Union
DESCRIPTION:Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is hosting Healthy 
 Steps for Older Adults (HSOA) classes in West Union. HSOA is an evidence-b
 ased fall risk screening and education class for adults aged 50 and over f
 ocusing on fall prevention\, covering topics such as proper footwear\, saf
 ety at home\, good nutrition for bone health\, and the importance of exerc
 ise. Participants will also learn at-home exercises to improve strength an
 d balance.\n\nBy participating in the Healthy Steps for Older Adults progr
 am\, you can equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to lead a full a
 nd active life\, free from the fear of falling. The class is scheduled for
  Thursday\, January 23\, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Gundersen Palm
 er Lutheran Hospital\, 112 Jefferson Street in West Union. Lunch will be p
 rovided\, and each participant will receive a comprehensive program handbo
 ok filled with valuable information. The classes are available with a sugg
 ested voluntary contribution of $25. Scholarships are available for those
