DESCRIPTION:Falls are a leading cause of injury among older adults. Each ye
 ar\, one in four people aged 65 or older experiences a fall\, which can af
 fect mobility\, independence\, and overall quality of life.\n\nTo help add
 ress this issue\, Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is offering 
 Healthy Steps for Older Adults (HSOA)\, an evidence-based fall risk screen
 ing and education program designed for adults age 50 and older.\n\nThis in
 teractive class provides practical guidance on reducing fall risks through
 :\n\n 	Choosing proper footwear\n 	Making your home safer\n 	Maintaining g
 ood nutrition for bone health\n 	Practicing simple exercises that build st
 rength and balance\n\nParticipants will also take home a program handbook 
 with exercises and resources to support ongoing health and independence.\n
