SUMMARY:Walk With Ease - Iowa Falls
DESCRIPTION:Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging is bringing the Arthritis F
 oundation’s  Walk With Ease program to the community this summer. Desig
 ned to reduce the pain and discomfort of arthritis while improving overall
  health\, this evidence-based program will be held at Robert W. Barlow Mem
 orial Library\, 921 Washington Ave.\, Iowa Falls\, Iowa\, from June 30 thr
 ough August 11\, on Mondays\, Wednesdays\, and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 
 11:00 a.m.\n\nDeveloped by the Thurston Arthritis Research Center and the 
 Institute on Aging at the University of North Carolina\, Walk With Ease is
  more than just a walking program. It combines walking with health educati
 on\, stretching and strengthening exercises\, and motivational strategies 
 to help participants increase their physical activity levels safely.\n\nEx
 tensive research has shown that the Walk With Ease program:\n\n 	Reduces a
 rthritis-related pain and discomfort\n 	Improves balance\, strength\, and 
 walking pace\n 	Builds confidence in being physically active\n 	Enhances o
 verall health\n\nThis program is offered for individuals 60 and over at a 
 suggested contribution of $25. Participants will receive a Walk with Ease 
 guidebook along with support and guidance to help them walk comfortably\, 
 safely\, and confidently\, no matter their current fitness level.\n\nDeadl
