Healthy Steps for Older Adults
Healthy Steps for Older Adults (HSOA) is an evidence-based fall risk screening and education class for adults aged 50 and over. This program consists of two 2-hour workshops focused on fall prevention, covering topics such as proper footwear, safety at home, good nutrition for bone health, and the importance of exercise. Participants will also learn at-home exercises to improve strength and balance.
By participating in the Healthy Steps for Older Adults program, you can equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to lead a full and active life, free from the fear of falling. Each participant will receive a comprehensive program handbook filled with valuable information. The classes are available with a suggested contribution of $25.
