CEO Greg Zars Elected to USAging Board of Directors

We are proud to announce that CEO Greg Zars has been elected to the USAging Board of Directors as the Region VII Representative.

The election was announced during USAging’s Annual Conference and Tradeshow, held July 18-21 in San Diego, California. As Region VII Representative, Zars will represent the interests of Area Agencies on Aging in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska while helping guide the national organization’s efforts to support older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers.

USAging is the national association representing and supporting the network of Area Agencies on Aging and advocating for the development of home and community-based services that help older adults remain independent and engaged in their communities.

“Greg’s election to the USAging Board of Directors is a tremendous honor and a reflection of his dedication to serving older adults,” said Valerie Schwager, Chair of the NEI3A Board of Directors. “We are proud to have NEI3A represented at the national level and know Greg will bring valuable insight and a strong commitment to advancing the needs of older adults and caregivers throughout Region VII and across the country.”

As CEO of NEI3A, Zars has been a champion for innovative programs and services that support healthy aging, caregiver assistance, nutrition services, transportation, and access to critical resources for older adults throughout Northeast Iowa.

I look forward to working with leaders nationwide to strengthen services and advocate for older adults, caregivers, and communities.”

The USAging Board of Directors helps shape policies, strategic initiatives, and advocacy efforts that support the growing aging population nationwide. Zars joins a distinguished group of leaders dedicated to advancing the mission of Area Agencies on Aging and ensuring that older adults have access to the services and supports they need to thrive.
