Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a gentle exercise that helps improve strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. It’s a relaxing form of movement that comes from Chinese martial arts, and it’s perfect for older adults. This type of exercise is proven to reduce the risk of falls.
Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is offering Tai Chi classes in New Hampton from September 8 through October 30, 2025. Classes will be held at the New Hampton Public Library (20 W. Spring Street, New Hampton, IA 50659) every Monday and Thursday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
There is a voluntary contribution of $4.00 per class. Scholarship assistance is available for those with financial need. Space is limited, so please register by September 3 by contacting Carrie Becker, Library Director, at 641-394-2184.
