Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a gentle exercise that helps improve strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. It’s a relaxing form of movement that comes from Chinese martial arts, and it’s perfect for older adults. This type of exercise is proven to reduce the risk of falls.

Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is offering Tai Chi classes in Waterloo from September 3 – October 29, 2026. Classes will be held at the NEI3A Regional Office (3840 W. 9th Street, Waterloo, IA 50702) every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

There is a voluntary contribution of $4.00 per class. Scholarship assistance is available for those with financial need. Space is limited, so please register by August 24 by contacting Janet Buls at 319-874-6850 or by email at jbuls@nei3a.org.
