Healthy Steps for Older Adults – Cresco

Did you know that 1 in 4 adults age 65+ experiences a fall each year? Falls can impact mobility, independence, and daily life—but the good news is there are steps you can take to reduce your risk.

The Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is offering a Healthy Steps for Older Adults (HSOA) class in Cresco this May to help adults 50+ stay safe, active, and confident.

This evidence-based program includes:
✔️ Fall risk screening
✔️ Tips for safer footwear and home safety
✔️ Nutrition guidance for bone health
✔️ Simple exercises to improve strength and balance
✔️ Practical strategies to help prevent falls

9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
📍 Cresco Public Library
320 N. Elm Street, Cresco, IA

🍽 Lunch is provided, and participants will receive a comprehensive program handbook to take home.

💲 The class is offered with a suggested voluntary contribution of $25, and scholarships are available for those who request financial assistance.
