Falls are one of the biggest health concerns for older adults. In fact, 1 in 4 people over age 65 experiences a fall each year – often impacting mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is here to help with Healthy Steps for Older Adults (HSOA) – an interactive, evidence-based program for adults 50+ focused on reducing fall risks and building confidence.
✨ In this class, you’ll learn practical tips on:
✔️ Choosing proper footwear
✔️ Making your home safer
✔️ Supporting bone health with good nutrition
✔️ Simple exercises for strength & balance
📘 Plus, you’ll take home a handbook filled with exercises and resources to support your independence.
