Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a gentle exercise that helps improve strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. It’s a relaxing form of movement that comes from Chinese martial arts, and it’s perfect for older adults. This type of exercise is proven to reduce the risk of falls.
Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is offering Tai Chi classes in Maquoketa from October 28 to December 30, 2024. Classes will be held at Clover Ridge Place (205 Ehlers Lane, Maquoketa, Iowa 52060) every Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Classes will not meet on Wednesday, October 30, or November 6.
For those aged 60 and older, the suggested contribution is $4.00 per class. For anyone under 60, the fee is $4.00 per class. Space is limited, so please register by October 21 by calling Kimberly Bruggenwirth at 563-202-3002 or emailing kbruggenwirth@nei3a.org.
