Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a gentle exercise that helps improve strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. It’s a relaxing form of movement that comes from Chinese martial arts, and it’s perfect for older adults. This type of exercise is proven to reduce the risk of falls.

Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is offering Tai Chi classes in McGregor from July 14 through September 8, 2025. Classes will be held at McGregor Community Center (330 North Street, McGregor, IA 52157) every Monday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

For those aged 60 and older, the suggested contribution is $4.00 per class. For anyone under 60, the fee is $4.00 per class. Space is limited, so please register by July 7 by calling Patty Scholtes at 319-361-4890 or emailing pattyscholtes@gmail.com.
