Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a gentle exercise that helps improve strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. It’s a relaxing form of movement derived from Chinese martial arts, and it’s ideal for older adults. This type of exercise is proven to reduce the risk of falls.
Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is offering Tai Chi classes in Decorah from August 4 through October 2, 2025. Classes will be held at Aase Haugen’s Vennehjem Independent Living Community (1102 Nordic Drive, Decorah, IA 52101) every Monday and Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
For those aged 60 and older, the suggested contribution is $4.00 per class. For anyone under 60, the fee is $4.00 per class. Space is limited, so please register by July 28 by calling Hallie Evans at 563-277-6014 or emailing hevans@nei3a.org.
